We’re delighted to introduce Hayley Dodsworth as our new Project Coordinator at Wetherby and District Foodbank! We are also delighted to welcome Charlotte Wright (seen here on the left), our new Foodbank Administrator who will work alongside Hayley.
Hayley joins us with over 25 years’ experience in marketing and business development, working across the community in a variety of local roles across multiple sectors including care, farming and food production, retail and the local authority. She has a real heart for collaboration, building strong relationships, and championing initiatives that make a tangible difference to people’s lives. From the moment she learned more about our work, Hayley recognised how her skills and passion could support the Foodbank’s mission, strengthening community connections, supporting volunteers, and ensuring those in need receive timely and compassionate support. We’re thrilled she’s taken on this role and are already seeing her positive impact!
Hayley shared:
“Born and bred in Leeds, I feel privileged to be part of the Wetherby and District Foodbank team and excited to use my experience to support our volunteers, partners and the wider community. I’ve spent many years working locally around North and West Yorkshire and have seen first-hand the strength and generosity of the people and organisations around us. I truly believe that by working together, we can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families facing hardship.”
“One of my first priorities is promoting the amazing community cafés in both Wetherby and Tadcaster, warm, welcoming spaces where everyone is invited to come along for a free cuppa, friendly conversation and connection. These cafés are hubs of support, bringing together specialist organisations offering informal advice on issues such as benefits, job hunting, managing money, housing concerns, food support and staying well through the winter. There’s even a mum-and-tots area and regular opportunities to meet local councillors face to face. I’m really excited to help raise the profile of these fabulous community resources and celebrate the incredible support network which of course includes Wetherby and District Foodbank.”
Our new Administrator, Charlotte Wright also grew up in the Wetherby area. Charlotte adds:
“This community has always been a big part of who I am. I spent 14 years working in Wetherby, building strong relationships and a reputation for being reliable, approachable, and genuinely committed to the people I worked with. I now live on a farm just outside of Tadcaster, where life is happily filled with walking my dogs, caring for horses, and looking after my eight pet sheep. I’m really looking forward to supporting Hayley in my admin role at the foodbank, combining my local roots, organisational skills, and love for helping others to make a positive difference.”
Everyone at the foodbank offers both Hayley and Charlotte a warm welcome and we look forward to working with them!
