About
About our foodbank
Our foodbank is a project originally founded by local community groups and churches. We now serve a range of communities stretching from the North Leeds area and market towns, to rural communities across North and West Yorkshire. We have three key aims:
- To provide food to local people in crisis.
- To work alongside other foodbanks, agents, charities and organisations to distribute any surplus food items and essentials to where they are needed.
- To avoid waste and honour our donors by ensuring all donations reach people experiencing hardship and need.
Anyone can drop into the foodbank. We are currently open every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00am until noon at Barleyfields Community Centre, Barleyfields Road, Wetherby; and also on Wednesdays from 10:00am till noon at The Barn Community Centre in Tadcaster (term time only – please look out for venue change details during school holidays).
You can contact us directly any time by phoning 07840 455 725 and can always leave a message.
