Welcome to our new Project Coordinator!

8th November 2021

We’d like to offer a huge welcome to Bryony Hudson, our brand-new Project Coordinator.

Bryony will be assisting in the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the foodbank, as well as being here to provide support and motivation to all our wonderful volunteers.

Foodbank Trustee, Shann Wilcox, commented:

“Bryony comes from a small business background and, prior to that, she had been in the legal profession. Her interest in the Project Coordinator position came from a natural empathy for both the purpose and value of foodbanks. She clearly saw how her skills and experience would equip her in the role and we are delighted she’s accepted the role. She is already having a positive impact on the day-to-day functioning of the foodbank!”

Bryony added:

“I am extremely passionate about ending food poverty and excited to join the Foodbank and help benefit our local community. Having witnessed during the pandemic just how quickly individual circumstances can change, it’s very clear that no one is immune to financial crisis. Now more than ever we need to join together and support those in need and I’m certain the people of Wetherby and its surrounding communities will rise to the occasion.”

Bryony will also be concentrating on out-reach projects in the community, including developing good relationships with our benefactors, beneficiary organisations and, most importantly, our clients. She’ll be increasing our visibility in all the towns and villages we serve, making sure everyone knows we’re here to support them should they find themselves in need.
