The Monday afternoon foodbank sessions at The Barn in Tadcaster have now changed to Wednesday mornings. We’ll be at The Barn during the Community Cafe which runs from 10:30am till Midday every Wednesday.

The Community Cafe offers a free tea or coffee and toast or cake as well as the opportunity to have a chat or get information or advice from regular attendee organisations such as Money Buddies, Citizens Advice or Living Well. You’re also perfectly welcome just to come along and have a cuppa and a chat – everyone is welcome!

Money Buddies give free, impartial and confidential debt and budgeting advice.

Citizens Advice offer a range of free advice including benefits, housing, legal issues, consumer issues, immigration to health.

Living Well is a free service that aims to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of adults.

Helping people find the support they are entitled to is an important part of our foodbank’s work. By working with these groups and organisations across our district, we’re hoping that fewer people will need to use a foodbank at all.

If you are struggling to make ends meet, we are here to help. It’s always better to have a chat with us sooner rather than later. If you’re struggling to make ends meet or perhaps you’ve run out of money at the end of the month, please call in for a chat during our session at The Barn on Wednesdays or at one of our sessions at Barleyfields Community Centre in Wetherby which run on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings 10am – 11:30am. Alternatively, phone us on 01937 830524 (Tadcaster area) and leave a message; or ring 07840 455725 (Wetherby area) and leave a message.
