Summer demand at Wetherby and District Foodbank is soaring while donations dip. To support our vital operations, we urgently need volunteers for various roles like warehouse sorting, transport, and community engagement.
If you have some time to spare this summer, you can help us meet the seasonal challenges across their Wetherby and Tadcaster sites. You may be looking for work experience or to meet new people and be part of a team. Whatever your reason we would love to hear from you.
How You Can Help:
-
- Warehouse & Logistics: Sorting food donations, dating items, and assisting the transport and operations teams.
- Community Engagement: Running primary school assemblies, leading youth warehouse tours, promoting the vital work of the Foodbank at community events or helping with social media and communications.
- Frontline Support: We need extra pairs of hands to help with refreshments at our community cafes, supporting operations at our Foodbank Distribution Centres, or delivering food parcels locally.
Get in Touch:
- Email: Reach out to
[email protected]or check the Wetherby and District Foodbank Volunteer Vacancies page to find out more about specific roles.
- Drop-in: You can also speak directly to the team during their drop-in sessions.
