The Cost of Living Crisis – A Thank You

9th January 2023

Thank You

Sadly, 2022 saw a substantial increase in need across our area, a need brought about by the cost of living crisis, the huge rise in fuel bills, cuts to services and also the effects of the war in Ukraine. Our foodbank gave out an unprecedented number of food parcels in 2022, especially once autumn and winter hit.

As disheartening as this is, our volunteers have also been astounded by the generosity of local people, local groups, schools, churches and businesses. We received so many wonderful donations, especially in the run up to Christmas and would like to thank EVERYBODY who donated. It really means a lot to us, and means we start the year with a well-stocked warehouse knowing that we can feed our clients.

So thank you to all the following groups and organisations from right across our district who donated in December. If we’ve missed anyone please let us know!
